Đền, chùa Hưng Thịnh thuộc địa phận thôn Hưng Thịnh, xã Hoàng Nam, huyện Nghĩa Hưng, tỉnh Nam Định.
Lịch sử và nhân vật
Theo “Hưng Thịnh lương chí”, chùa Hưng Thịnh được xây dựng vào niên hiệu Thuận Thiên thứ 3 (1431) do các ông tổ cùng các dòng họ hưng công khi công việc khẩn hoang đã giành nhiều kết quả, đời sống dân cư ở Hưng Thịnh ngày một ổn định.
Đền – Chùa Hưng Thịnh thờ hai vị Tiến sĩ Phạm Nguyên Bảo và Phạm Đạo Phú, đều đỗ đạt dưới triều Vua Lê Thánh Tông.
- Tiến sĩ Phạm Nguyên Bảo (1456-1497): Ông là cháu của cụ Phạm Thời Cử, một trong ba vị thủy tổ khai phá vùng đất Hưng Phú (nay là thôn Hưng Thịnh). Năm 1487, ông đỗ Đệ nhị giáp Tiến sĩ xuất thân và được phong chức Phó đô Ngự sử kiêm Võ giai chưởng quân nội thị. Năm 1492, ông tham gia dẹp loạn tại Hưng Hóa, bắt sống tướng giặc Gia Đa Lý, được vua khen ngợi và phong chức Võ Huân Tướng công tả hiệu điển, sau đó giữ chức toàn quyền tuần thủ vùng Thanh – Nghệ. Ông mất năm 1497 và được an táng tại quê nhà.
- Tiến sĩ Phạm Đạo Phú: Ông đỗ Tam giáp đồng Tiến sĩ khoa thi Canh Tuất, niên hiệu Hồng Đức thứ 21 (1490). Năm 1495, ông giữ chức Hàn lâm viện kiểm thảo trong Hàn lâm viện và sau này được thăng chức Hình bộ tả Thị lang. Năm 1527, khi Mạc Đăng Dung cướp ngôi nhà Lê, ông từ quan về sống tại tân ấp Cô Bần, xây dựng văn chỉ, tạo đường, thông ngòi giúp đỡ nhân dân.
Ngày 2 tháng 8 năm Canh Dần 1530 Tiến Sĩ Phạm Nguyên Bảo được thôn Đông xây đền thờ ở phía nam chùa, 2 ngôi xây song để thờ phụng người.
Đến năm Tự Đức thứ 7 dân làng hợp nhất 2 đền vào làm 1 để thờ phụng.
Kiến trúc cảnh quan
Chùa được xây dựng kiểu theo chữ đinh gồm tiền đường 3 gian rộng, tam bảo 4 gian.
Hiện vật
Đời vua Thành Thái năm thứ 11 (1899) chùa được tu sửa theo phong cách cổ truyền, còn bảo tồn được một vì chạm khắc phong cách nghệ thuật thế kỷ XVII, XVIII với các đề tài hổ phù ở giáp nóc và long chầu nguyệt, mẫu long giáo tử, ly chạy nhảy đùa vui ở mảng giữa cùng hoa lá, rồng đao mác nhiều lớp ở mảng phía bắc. Mảng chạm gian phía nam còn thêm họa tiết trúc hóa long, trên có hình ảnh tiên cưỡi rồng.
Trước cửa tam bảo cũng được chạm khắc tứ linh đan xen với họa tiết hoa lá cách điệu thể hiện trình độ cao của những nghệ nhân xưa. Chùa Hưng Thịnh còn có hệ thống tượng pháp phong phú, tiêu biểu là pho Tam thế, Adiđà, Phật bà Quan âm, Tuyết Sơn được tạo dáng cân đối, họa tiết trang trí, nhấn tỉa tinh xảo. Phía nam chùa là đền Hưng Thịnh, nơi thờ những ông tổ có công trong việc khẩn hoang, lấn biển đầu thế kỷ XV.

Đền – Chùa Hưng Thịnh là một di tích lịch sử – văn hóa quan trọng của tỉnh Nam Định, phản ánh truyền thống hiếu học và tôn vinh những người có công với đất nước. Việc bảo tồn và phát huy giá trị của di tích này góp phần giáo dục thế hệ trẻ về lòng tự hào dân tộc và trách nhiệm gìn giữ di sản văn hóa.
Đền – Chùa Hưng Thịnh được xếp hạng di tích lịch sử cấp Quốc gia theo QĐ số 226-VH/QĐ, ngày 05/02/1994.

Name and Geographical Location
Hung Thinh Temple and Pagoda are located in Hung Thinh village, Hoang Nam commune, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province.
History and Figures
According to Hung Thinh Luong Chi, Hung Thinh Pagoda was built in the 3rd year of Thuan Thien era (1431) by the founding ancestors and local clans after the land reclamation efforts had brought fruitful results and the lives of Hung Thinh residents became more stable.
Hung Thinh Temple and Pagoda worship two doctors of literature, Pham Nguyen Bao and Pham Dao Phu, both of whom achieved academic success under King Le Thanh Tong.

Doctor Pham Nguyen Bao (1456–1497): He was the grandson of Pham Thoi Cu, one of the three pioneers who reclaimed the Hung Phu land (now Hung Thinh village). In 1487, he passed the De Nhi Giap Doctorate examination and was appointed Deputy Imperial Censor and Commander of the Royal Guard. In 1492, he joined the suppression of the rebellion in Hung Hoa, captured the rebel general Gia Da Ly, and was commended by the king, receiving the title Vo Huan Tuong Cong and later serving as governor of Thanh–Nghe region. He passed away in 1497 and was buried in his hometown.

Doctor Pham Dao Phu: He passed the Third-rank Doctorate exam in the Year of the Dog (1490), under the 21st year of Hong Duc era. In 1495, he served as Proofreader at the Hanlin Academy and was later promoted to Deputy Minister of Justice. In 1527, when Mac Dang Dung usurped the throne, he resigned and returned to live in Co Ban hamlet, where he built a Confucian academy, roads, and canals to help the people.
On August 2, 1530, villagers of Dong hamlet built a temple to worship Doctor Pham Nguyen Bao south of the pagoda. Two parallel shrines were erected for veneration.
In the 7th year of Tu Duc reign, villagers decided to merge the two temples into one for collective worship.
Architecture and Landscape
The pagoda is built in the shape of the Chinese character “丁” (Dinh), consisting of a three-compartment front hall and a four-compartment main sanctuary.
Artifacts
In the 11th year of Thanh Thai reign (1899), the pagoda was restored in traditional style. It still preserves a wooden beam carved in 17th–18th century artistic style, featuring motifs such as tiger masks at the roof joint, dragons chasing the moon, mother dragons teaching their offspring, and lively kylins among floral patterns. The northern section features layered carvings of dragons and swords, while the southern hall depicts bamboo transforming into dragons and immortals riding dragons.
At the entrance of the main sanctuary, carvings of the Four Sacred Animals are interwoven with stylized floral motifs, showcasing the high craftsmanship of ancient artisans. Hung Thinh Pagoda also houses a rich system of statues, notably the Trinity of Buddhas, Amitabha, Avalokitesvara, and the emaciated Buddha, all finely proportioned and intricately detailed. To the south of the pagoda lies Hung Thinh Temple, dedicated to the ancestors who reclaimed land and expanded seashores in the early 15th century.
Heritage Status
Hung Thinh Temple and Pagoda is an important historical and cultural relic of Nam Dinh province, reflecting the tradition of learning and honoring those who contributed to the nation. Its preservation helps educate younger generations on patriotism and cultural heritage protection.
Hung Thinh Temple and Pagoda was officially recognized as a National Historical Site under Decision No. 226-VH/QD, dated February 5, 1994.

Histoire et Personnages
Selon le Hung Thinh Luong Chi, la pagode Hung Thinh fut construite en l’an 1431 (3e année de l’ère Thuan Thien) par les ancêtres fondateurs et les lignées locales, à une époque où les travaux de mise en valeur des terres avaient apporté de grands résultats et où la vie des habitants devenait stable.
Le temple et la pagode Hung Thinh honorent deux docteurs d’État, Pham Nguyen Bao et Pham Dao Phu, tous deux reçus sous le règne du roi Le Thanh Tong.

Docteur Pham Nguyen Bao (1456–1497) : Petit-fils de Pham Thoi Cu, l’un des trois pionniers qui défrichèrent la région de Hung Phu (aujourd’hui village Hung Thinh). En 1487, il réussit l’examen du Deuxième rang de docteur et fut nommé Vice-Censeur impérial et Commandant de la garde royale. En 1492, il participa à la répression d’une révolte à Hung Hoa, captura le chef rebelle Gia Da Ly, reçut les louanges royales et fut titré Vo Huan Tuong Cong, avant d’être gouverneur de la région Thanh–Nghe. Il mourut en 1497 et fut enterré dans son village natal.

Docteur Pham Dao Phu : Reçu au Troisième rang de docteur en 1490 (21e année de l’ère Hong Duc). En 1495, il devint correcteur à l’Académie Hanlin puis fut promu Vice-ministre de la Justice. En 1527, lorsque Mac Dang Dung usurpa le trône, il quitta ses fonctions et se retira à Co Ban où il fit construire une académie confucéenne, des routes et des canaux au service du peuple.
Le 2 août 1530, les habitants du hameau Dong édifièrent un temple au sud de la pagode pour vénérer le docteur Pham Nguyen Bao. Deux sanctuaires parallèles furent bâtis.
Sous le règne de Tu Duc (7e année), les villageois décidèrent de fusionner les deux temples en un seul lieu de culte.
Architecture et Paysage
La pagode est construite en forme du caractère chinois “丁” (Dinh), comprenant un vestibule de trois travées et un sanctuaire principal de quatre travées.
Objets Conservés
En 1899 (11e année du règne de Thanh Thai), la pagode fut restaurée dans le style traditionnel. Elle conserve encore une poutre sculptée des XVIIe–XVIIIe siècles, avec des motifs tels que masques de tigre, dragons poursuivant la lune, dragonne et son petit, licornes bondissantes et motifs floraux. La section nord présente des dragons et armes superposés, tandis que la salle sud montre des bambous se transformant en dragons et des immortels chevauchant des dragons.
À l’entrée du sanctuaire, des sculptures des Quatre Animaux sacrés s’entrelacent avec des motifs floraux stylisés, révélant la maîtrise des artisans d’autrefois. La pagode Hung Thinh abrite également un riche système statuaire, dont les Trois Bouddhas, Amitabha, Avalokitesvara et le Bouddha émacié, équilibrés et finement sculptés. Au sud de la pagode se trouve le temple Hung Thinh, dédié aux pionniers qui défrichèrent terres et littoraux au début du XVe siècle.
Classement Patrimonial
Le temple et la pagode Hung Thinh constituent un site historique et culturel majeur de la province de Nam Dinh, illustrant la tradition d’érudition et l’honneur rendu aux contributeurs de la nation. Leur conservation contribue à l’éducation des jeunes sur le patriotisme et la préservation du patrimoine culturel.
Le temple et la pagode Hung Thinh ont été classés site historique national par la décision n° 226-VH/QD du 5 février 1994.

名称与地理位置
兴盛殿寺位于南定省义兴县黄南社兴盛村境内。
历史与人物
据《兴盛良志》记载,兴盛寺建于顺天三年(1431),由先祖及各姓氏共同出资兴建,当时开荒工作已取得成果,兴盛居民生活逐渐稳定。
兴盛殿寺供奉两位进士:范元保和范道富,他们均在黎圣宗时期考中进士。

进士范元保 (1456–1497):他是范时举的孙子,范氏三位开拓兴富地区(今兴盛村)先祖之一。1487年,他考中第二甲进士,任副都御史兼内侍武阶掌军。1492年,他参加镇压兴化叛乱,生擒贼将嘉多礼,受皇帝嘉奖,封武勋将公,后任清–乂地区总督。他于1497年去世,葬于故乡。

进士范道富:1490年(洪德二十一年庚戌科)考中三甲同进士。1495年任翰林院检讨,后升刑部左侍郎。1527年,莫登庸篡位,他辞官隐居于姑磐新邑,修建文祠、道路、沟渠以助百姓。
1530年庚寅年八月初二,东村建庙于寺南,奉祀范元保,两殿并立。
嗣后至嗣德七年,村民将二殿合并为一,以便统一祭祀。
建筑与景观
寺院依“丁”字形建造,包括三间前殿和四间三宝殿。
文物
成泰十一年(1899),寺院依古法重修,现仍保存一根十七、十八世纪雕刻大梁,刻有屋脊虎符、龙蟠月、母龙教子、麒麟嬉戏、花叶与层叠刀龙等纹样。南殿还雕有竹化龙、仙人骑龙。
三宝殿门前亦雕有四灵与花草纹样相间,展现古代工匠高超技艺。兴盛寺还保存有丰富佛像群,代表性有三世佛、阿弥陀佛、观音菩萨、雪山佛像,造型匀称,装饰精美。寺南为兴盛殿,奉祀十五世纪初开荒拓海之先祖。
遗产地位
兴盛殿寺是南定省重要的历史文化遗迹,体现尊师重道传统,彰显对国家有功之人的敬仰。其保护与弘扬有助于教育后代爱国精神与文化传承。
兴盛殿寺于1994年2月5日根据第226-VH/QĐ号决定被列为国家级历史遗迹。
