Thân thế – cuộc đời
Tu dung họ Nguyễn, tên Kính, quê ở xã Bối Khê, huyện Thanh Oai, là con gái của Trung thư lệnh Nguyễn Trực, một danh thần dưới triều Lê Thánh Tông. Bà được tuyển vào cung tháng 11 năm Hồng Đức thứ 3 (1472). Sau khi vào cung, nhà vua đổi tên bà thành Cẩn Kính, thể hiện sự thay đổi danh xưng của bà trong cung đình.
Trong những năm sau đó, Nguyễn Cẩn Kính từng bước được nâng phẩm cấp. Tháng 8 năm Hồng Đức thứ 22 (1491), bà được thăng Dung hoa. Đến tháng 11 năm Hồng Đức thứ 23 (1492), triều đình ban sách bạc, chính thức phong bà làm Tiệp dư. Ba năm sau, tháng 3 năm Hồng Đức thứ 26 (1495), nhà vua ban chế phong bà làm Tu dung, xác lập địa vị cao hơn trong hệ thống cung tần.
Cùng với việc tiến phong, bà còn được nhà vua ban cấp 300 mẫu đất gồm đầm, ao, bãi dâu, cấp 30 người nô tỳ và miễn việc cung cấp 50 người. Những chế độ ban cấp này cho thấy Tu dung Nguyễn Thị được hưởng một địa vị và mức đãi ngộ đáng kể trong hậu cung cuối triều Lê Thánh Tông.
Nguyễn Tu dung không sinh được con trai. Vì vậy, Lê Thánh Tông ban sắc cho bà nhận Công chúa thứ 16 làm con nuôi. Chi tiết này cho thấy dù không có con trai ruột, bà vẫn có vị trí nhất định trong đời sống nội cung và được nhà vua sắp đặt để có người nối dưỡng trong phạm vi hoàng gia.
Qua đời – thờ phụng
Sử liệu hiện còn không ghi rõ năm mất, tuổi thọ, nơi an táng cũng như việc truy phong hay lập miếu thờ của Nguyễn Tu dung.
Cuộc đời Nguyễn Tu dung chủ yếu được biết đến qua quá trình thăng tiến từ một cung nhân được tuyển vào năm 1472, bà lần lượt được phong Dung hoa, Tiệp dư, rồi Tu dung vào năm 1495. Việc được cấp 300 mẫu đất, nô tỳ và miễn cung cấp nhân lực, cùng với việc được nhận một công chúa làm con nuôi, cho thấy bà thuộc nhóm cung phi có địa vị tương đối cao vào những năm cuối triều Lê Thánh Tông.

Background and Life
Lady Nguyễn, who held the rank of Tu dung and whose personal name was Kính, was a native of Bối Khê Commune, Thanh Oai District. She was the daughter of Nguyễn Trực, who held the office of Trung thư lệnh and was a distinguished official under the reign of Lê Thánh Tông.
She was selected to enter the palace in the eleventh lunar month of the third year of the Hồng Đức era (1472). After she entered the palace, the emperor changed her name to Cẩn Kính, marking a change in her designation within the court.
In the years that followed, Nguyễn Cẩn Kính gradually rose through the ranks of the inner palace. In the eighth lunar month of the twenty-second year of Hồng Đức (1491), she was promoted to Dung hoa. In the eleventh lunar month of the twenty-third year of Hồng Đức (1492), the court issued a silver investiture book, formally appointing her as Tiệp dư. Three years later, in the third lunar month of the twenty-sixth year of Hồng Đức (1495), the emperor issued an investiture decree promoting her to Tu dung, thereby establishing a higher rank for her within the system of imperial consorts.
Along with these promotions, the emperor also granted her 300 mẫu of land consisting of marshes, ponds, and mulberry fields, assigned thirty slaves to her, and exempted her from the obligation to provide fifty laborers. These grants show that Lady Nguyễn, Tu dung, enjoyed a considerable degree of status and material privilege within the inner palace during the final years of Lê Thánh Tông’s reign.
Lady Nguyễn, Tu dung, did not give birth to a son. Therefore, Lê Thánh Tông issued an edict allowing her to adopt the emperor’s sixteenth princess as her daughter. This detail shows that although she had no biological son, she still occupied a certain position within inner-palace life and was provided by the emperor with an adopted child from within the royal family.
Death and Worship
The surviving historical sources do not clearly record the year of Lady Nguyễn Tu dung’s death, her age at death, her burial place, or whether she received any posthumous title or had a shrine established in her honor.
The life of Lady Nguyễn Tu dung is known primarily through the course of her advancement after entering the palace in 1472. She was successively promoted to Dung hoa, Tiệp dư, and finally Tu dung in 1495. The grant of 300 mẫu of land, slaves, and exemption from labor obligations, together with the fact that she was permitted to adopt a princess as her daughter, shows that she belonged to the group of relatively high-ranking consorts during the final years of Lê Thánh Tông’s reign.

Tu dung, de la famille Nguyễn, prénommée Kính, était originaire de la commune de Bối Khê, district de Thanh Oai. Elle était la fille du Trung thư lệnh Nguyễn Trực, célèbre dignitaire sous le règne de Lê Thánh Tông. Elle fut choisie pour entrer au palais au 11e mois de la troisième année de Hồng Đức (1472). Après son entrée à la cour, le roi changea son nom en Cẩn Kính, marquant ainsi le changement de son appellation dans le cadre du palais.
Au cours des années suivantes, Nguyễn Cẩn Kính fut progressivement élevée dans la hiérarchie des concubines. Au 8e mois de la vingt-deuxième année de Hồng Đức (1491), elle fut promue au rang de Dung hoa. Au 11e mois de la vingt-troisième année de Hồng Đức (1492), la cour lui remit un livre d’investiture en argent et la nomma officiellement Tiệp dư. Nguyễn Tu dung n’eut pas de fils. Pour cette raison, Lê Thánh Tông promulgua un édit l’autorisant à adopter la seizième princesse impériale. Ce détail montre que, malgré l’absence de fils biologique, elle conservait une certaine place dans la vie du palais et que le souverain prit des dispositions afin qu’elle ait une enfant à élever au sein même de la famille royale.
Mort et culte posthume
Les sources conservées ne précisent ni l’année de sa mort, ni son âge au décès, ni son lieu d’inhumation, ni l’existence éventuelle d’un titre posthume ou d’un sanctuaire qui lui aurait été consacré.
La vie de Nguyễn Tu dung est principalement connue à travers son ascension au sein du palais : entrée à la cour en 1472, elle fut successivement élevée aux rangs de Dung hoa, Tiệp dư, puis Tu dung en 1495. Le fait qu’elle ait reçu 300 mẫu de terres, des serviteurs, une exemption de fourniture de main-d’œuvre et qu’elle ait été autorisée à adopter une princesse montre qu’elle appartenait au groupe des concubines bénéficiant d’un statut relativement élevé durant les dernières années du règne de Lê Thánh Tông.

身世与生平
Tu dung，姓 Nguyễn，名 Kính，籍贯为 Thanh Oai 县 Bối Khê 社，是 Trung thư lệnh Nguyễn Trực 之女。Nguyễn Trực 是 Lê Thánh Tông 朝的一位名臣。
洪德三年（1472）十一月，她被选入宫中。
入宫以后，皇帝将她改名为 Cẩn Kính，由此形成了她在宫廷中的新称名。
此后数年，Nguyễn Cẩn Kính 的品级逐步提升。
洪德二十二年（1491）八月，她被晋升为 Dung hoa。
到洪德二十三年（1492）十一月，朝廷颁赐银册，正式册封她为 Tiệp dư。
三年以后，即洪德二十六年（1495）三月，皇帝颁制，册封她为 Tu dung，由此确立了她在宫嫔体系中更高的地位。
与晋封同时，她还获得皇帝赐予的三百亩土地，其中包括湖塘、水池和桑洲，并获赐三十名奴婢，同时免除供应五十名人力的义务。
这些赐予和待遇表明，Nguyễn Tu dung 在 Lê Thánh Tông 统治后期的后宫中享有相当可观的地位和待遇。
Nguyễn Tu dung 没有生育儿子。
因此，Lê Thánh Tông 下诏，让她收养第十六位公主为养女。

去世与奉祀
